I'm a recent retiree who is growing to like the Internet. I've spent much time on it in the past mainly due to my various hobbies such as music and sports. Learning to play the violin as a beginner, being self taught on the guitar and picking up blues harmonica by myself are some of my personal highlights in life. No kidding! I've also always enjoyed playing and watching sports, although age has caught up with me now and most of the time watching hoops and football (the soccer one) while spending some time in the gym and guiding friends in an effort to learn bodybuilding basics are what my body and mind now allows. Sometimes, I indulge in a bit of night fishing with friends although most of the time they end up being excuses to catch up with each other's lives and whatnot. I usually end (or start) the rest of my day catching up on some live football online where my favorite does not happen to be the MLS (unfortunately) but the European leagues on which I spent loads of time to watch the English Premier League live online and also the latest international leagues and tournaments, including the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 which I believe the US will win quite easily.

So with time to kill and a willingness to meet new friends from all over the world, I've come across HubPages where I can share my knowledge as well as meet like-minded people.
